SOCIAL WELLBEING

The purpose of St Arnaud Neighbourhood House is to increase social and public wellbeing, and we provide many projects and activities that enable residents to participate with other people, to help prevent social isolation and promote mental health.

There's always something fun to do with other people at the St Arnaud Neighbourhood House!

Please contact the centre if you would like more information about these activities, or just drop in and ask!

Life Story Books
Ongoing project
We work with local aged care providers to deliver the Life Story Book Project for several of their residents. The project aims to honour the life and valuable contributions of our elderly residents by providing a professionally-printed hardcover book containing a biography of the resident’s life and many of their photographs from throughout the years.
Community Calendar
Bi-monthly publication
St Arnaud Neighbourhood House partners with St Arnaud Community Action Network (SCAN) to publish a booklet - with a pull-out wall calendar - to advertise local community groups and events. You can download past issues and find out additional information (including how to submit details about your group or event) by clicking the "Read More" link.
Friday Cooking Group
Social Activity
Weekly social cooking group on Fridays. Call the House for more details.
Safe Seats Safe Kids
Community Service
Kidsafe Victoria and Neighbourhood Houses Victoria invited St Arnaud Neighbourhood House to participate in the Safe Seats, Safe Kids program, and we partnered with the Northern Grampians Shire to provide free child car restraint fittings and safety checks.
